EXALTED RULER’S MESSAGE:
It has been a long and hard winter here in New England. Winter Weather has caused the cancellation of two meetings.
Because of this, Nominations and Elections (per Grand Lodge Statutes) for officers for the upcoming Elks year were held on
February 15th . My sincere congratulations to the following:
ER Elect –John Glenowica
Leading Knight -- Open
Loyal Knight -- Open
Lecturing Knight –Susan Farrell
Secretary –Sylvia Zakrzewski
Treasurer –Michael O’Brien
Trustee for 5 Years – Norman Graves
Tiler –Alan Scott
Installation for these new officers will be Saturday, March 26th. Cocktail hour is from 4:00-5:00 PM, ceremony at 5:00 PM and
dinner to follow. Please sign up if you plan to attend.
I would like to thank Skip Pichette, Patti McGrath and Todd Shanafelt for French Night. With the help of Ken Elkas, PER John
and Louise Glenowicz and myself, a good time was had by all.
I would also like to thank PER John Glenowicz, Sam Lococo, PER Greg Zakrzewski, Buddy Rogers and John Kingsley for their
efforts in attempting to build a skating rink so we could have a family fun day. Unfortunately, the winter storms and amounts of
snow hindered their efforts and the project had to be scrapped. But thanks for trying. Perhaps we can try again next year.
In conjunction with the ER Elect, we will be resurrecting the “Futures” Committee. This committee will be responsible for
researching (and reporting to the lodge) what our lodge needs will be in the coming years as far as space, building
improvements, pavilion, etc.
If you are interested in serving on this committee, please see myself or the ER Elect.
A new committee will be formed to examine Nationality Nights for the purpose of strengthening, streamlining and perhaps
combining our Nationality Nights. Again, if you are interested in being on this committee, please see myself or the ER Elect.
It is not too late to make your ENF donation for the Elk year 2010-2011. Go on line to www.elks.org/enf or contact myself or Co-
Chair PER John Glenowicz and we’ll make sure your donation gets in by the March 30th deadline.
As always, thank you all for your support.

SECRETARY’S MESSAGE:
Wow what a winter and we are almost through it!
The dues bills went out in the last bulletin and they are coming in to me at a steady stream. I am happy to say, that I even
have two members who have paid their dues from this current year so that is two less that will have to be dropped. There are
still 31 members who have not paid this years dues and will be dropped before April 1st. We will be balloting on life members
at the March 15th meeting. I accidentally missed a member who is up for life member who will also be voted on. That person
is Edward Michalowski. That is a total of 8 members being voted on.
In March we will be installing our officers on the 26th so sign up to join us and welcome in our new and returning officers.
I hope spring comes early this year! See you at the lodge.
Sylvia Zakrzewski, Secretary
Buck-a-Week Dinner-
The biannual Buck-a-Week dinner and drawing will be
held Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Lodge. Please
notice that the date is on a Thursday, not a Friday. This
change is to accommodate our caterer. Dinner will be
served at 6:30 PM. Due to the popularity of this function
and in order to accommodate as many people as
possible, only ticket holders may participate.
Unfortunately, guests can no longer be invited. Also, it is
mandatory that if you plan to attend you make a
reservation prior to the cut-off date of Friday, April 22,
2011 at 5:00 PM. Because of the limited seating capacity,
no more than 200 can be served. So, call early and we
hope to see you there for a fun evening.
