Veteran’s Day Parade:
The annual Veteran’s Day Parade will be on Thursday
November 11th @ 11 am.  It will start at Lampron Park on
Bridge St. and will go to city hall.  Anyone who is interested in
marching with the Elk’s can sign up at the lodge.  Members
who want to car pool can meet at the lodge @ 10:00 am.
Turkey Night:  A reminder to all, our annual turkey night
will be held on Thursday November 17th @ 6:30 pm.  Tickets
for the dinner are available in the members lounge area of the
lodge at a cost of just $8.00 per person.  This is a great price
for a turkey dinner!  We will also draw the winners of our
Thanksgiving turkeys on the night of the dinner.  If you haven’t
purchased your turkey raffle tickets or your dinner tickets, it’s
not too late!  If you have misplaced the raffle tickets that were
mailed to you, you can stop by the lodge and pick some up
there.  Hope to see you there!

EXALTED RULER’S MESSAGE:
Members,  Before I begin this message, let me take a moment to wish all of you and your families a safe and happy Holiday
Season. The committees in the Lodge have been working hard to implement a few new policies which I lead to in the last message.
Here they are.
Beginning in the December Bulletin, somewhere there will be two membership numbers hidden. They could be anywhere, a
message or an ad of one our sponsors. If this is your membership number, than you have won a free ticket to the next Nationality
Night, all you need to do is stop at the Lodge and claim it.
We again will allow members, beginning in December for International Night in January, to sign out four tickets to sell to friends or
family. These tickets or the money will be due back one week prior to the event, you must leave your phone number when you sign
them out, and if not returned or paid for, you will lose this privilege for any Lodge events.
Another new policy, will be to give to any new member upon their initiation into the Order, a complimentary ticket to the next
Nationality Night, in that they can feel welcome, and enjoy the evening.
These are some of the recommendations of the Nationality Review Committee who is trying to improve attendance at these
events, and they continue to look at ideas, and are open to suggestions.
In regards to the various Lodge dinners and events, with the exception of the Friday Night diner, we will no longer be able to
provide meals to go, for those not in attendance. This cost of dinners continues to rise, and with the marginal allowances, the
additional cost of to go cannot continue. Very sorry for this, but it is something that we need your cooperation in stopping.
Many kudos and thanks to all that assisted in sending many of the Veterans from Northampton to Washington. It is my
understanding that this trip was an honor to all the Veterans that went, The honor and recognition that your Lodge has received is
unrivaled.
I would like to honor Cindy Mazzolini, the October Elk of the Month, great job, and please don't stop.
Again, any ideas or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me, and hope to see you, at one of the many upcoming events.

Fraternally,

John Glenowicz, PER
Exalted Ruler, 997
Secretaries Message:
What a great send off and homecoming we had for our veterans who visited Washington DC in October.  They all had a wonderful
and memorable trip and I would like to thank all the members who helped make it a special time for these heroes.

Our Turkey Night tickets had a misprint and the turkey dinner will be November 17th not the 19th.  Please get your tickets to this
wonderful event!

Also, please join us for the annual Veterans’ Day Parade on November 11th.  Meet in front of Bridge St. School at 10:30 to march
with other Elks in this annual parade.  Parade starts at 11:00.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Fraternally,
Sylvia Zakrzewski
POLISH NIGHT:
Please join  us on Tuesday November 8th for our annual
Polish Night.  The committee is hard at work making all of their
traditional polish favorites for a mouth watering buffet!  There
will be games of chance, raffle prizes and, as always, in
incredible dinner.  Tickets are available in the members
lounge of the lodge for just $12 per person.  If you haven’t
purchased them yet, please be sure to get down to the lodge
soon.  The final day of ticket sales is Thursday November 3rd.
Northampton Elks annual Veterans dinner:
On November 10th we will be serving our veterans from the
Holyoke Soldiers Home, Leeds V.A. and Soldier On.  Arrival
and games will be at 5:00 and dinner at 6:00. As in the past,
we need plenty of help again this year for the preparation,
food serving, cleanup, the wheel and most of all, some
mingling with the Vets.  A sign-up sheet will be placed on the
lodge bulletin board.  Come on down and spend an evening
with our veterans.

Greg Zak
Christmas Charity Raffle:
Enclosed with this months mailed bulletin is the annual
Christmas Charity Raffle.  This is a reminder to all that
through this fund-raiser, the Turkey Night Dinner and the
Turkey Raffle, we are able to provide much needed food
baskets to the needy at Christmas.  Please drop your tickets
at the lodge, along with a donation, to help cover the cost of
these baskets.  If you know of someone in need, you can
request a basket.  The committee will assemble it for you to
pick up and deliver.
Items for Monthly Bulletin:
The deadline for the December bulletin is  Monday November
20th @ 6:00 pm.  You can leave items in the “Bulletin” mailbox
at the lodge or you can reach me at     413-586-4154.
